THOMY: Vegan sauces in a cheerful, fresh dispenser design

When we announced the end of our THOMY design relaunch story last year, we were a little hasty. It has been continued after all, because the manufacturer’s vegan sauces also needed a new look. THOMY submitted the project to us without further specifications. Thanks to our intensive collaboration beforehand, we knew what was needed: The design of the vegan sauces in the dispenser should fit seamlessly into the existing range and reflect the modern, vibrant and cheerful character of the THOMY product family.

Veganism has been trendy for several years and the demand for vegan products is increasing unabated. Many companies are therefore expanding their range to include vegan alternatives. With the vegan sauces, the popular THOMY brand also wants to give consumers the opportunity to garnish their dishes with purely plant-based products. There are currently four different vegan options to choose from: the creamy and juicy Burger Sauce, the spicy and smoky BBQ Sauce, the fruity and spicy Salsa Sauce, and the Aioli Garlic Sauce with Herbs.

When designing the labels for the dispensers, it was important to make it clear that these were vegan products, while also ensuring that the look harmonized as much as possible with the rest of the range. We created a colorful and cheerful world of illustrations that covers three aspects: it matches the personality of the THOMY brand, it is visually aligned with the manufacturer’s other products, and it symbolizes that vegan nutrition can be fun and literally promises tasteful experiences.

What unites all four vegan THOMY sauces, in addition to the upbeat and vibrant basic concept with inviting illustrations and striking, playful fonts, is in particular the green color used for some details, such as the ‚VEGAN‘ headline under the THOMY logo In addition, we have aligned the color combinations in the layout with the color codes that consumers expect for the different varieties. For example, the BBQ sauce is dark with bright elements in red and orange, while the aioli sauce has a light design with pink and purple.
