Packaging of the Month January 2026: CleanCult – Refill in iconic composite carton
Why do refill packs always have to look like refill packs—like bags that disappear somewhere in the cupboard? And why shouldn’t a refill be just as visible and “shelf-ready” as the primary packaging? CleanCult answers precisely these questions with a format that we immediately recognize from the food sector: the classic composite carton.
A refill that stays on the shelf
Instead of the usual refill bags, CleanCult uses a TetraPak-like composite carton with a screw cap for liquid soap (in various fragrances) – upright, clear, and with maximum presence at the POS.
Cross-category effect with immediate recognition
The familiar look from the milk or juice shelf creates a strong moment of recognition – and visibly differentiates itself from the established refill standard. Here, refilling is not understood as a purely functional solution, but as a consciously staged part of the brand identity.
Refilling as an integrated step in use
In combination with durable primary packaging (e.g., a high-quality soap dispenser), refilling becomes a natural part of the routine – not as a compromise, but as a smart system.
Why it is our Packaging of the Month
CleanCult exemplifies that refill packaging can do more than “just” sustainability: it can convey storytelling, attract attention on the shelf, and give the segment new impetus. This is why CleanCult deserves our Packaging of the Month award for January 2026.
